Project 10 Pan- Take 3

After doing a little too much hauling I decided that it was time to go back on Project 10 Pan, for the 3rd time! I started on 4/27/10 and it took me until now to get this post up. So I am already 2 and 1/2 weeks into this.

For those of you who might not know what Project 10 Pan is, it is where you have to use up 10 (or however many you want) makeup products before you purchase anymore. Basically it is a good way for you to use up some items in your collection before you add anymore to it.

I decided this time I would blog about it instead of doing videos, as that gets a little boring.

These are the items I am trying to use up:
  1. Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer- I actually finished this up about a week ago. I think it was like my 4th or 5th bottle of this stuff!
  2. Revlon Color Stay Pressed Powder in Light
  3. NXY eyeshadow in Sahara- This will be the first eyeshadow I will have ever finished! It is one of my favorites!
  4. Great Lash Clear Mascara- I use this to set my eyebrows.
  5. E.L.F. Moisture-Care Lip Color in Baby Lips.
  6. Prestige eyeliner pencil in Black- This is the 3rd time I have put this in my Project 10 Pan, hopefully this time I will actually finish it!
  7. Prestige eyebrow pencil in Blond- This thing is so tiny that I don't know if I am going to be able to sharpen it anymore! I may have to just call it done soon...not that there is very much left anyway.
  8. Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel- This is the only non makeup item I will include in this project. I consider it a part of my daily makeup routine so I'm gonna go with it :o)
  9. ???
  10. ???
As for the last 2 things I really don't have anything picked out yet. I have a couple of mascara's that are about dead so I might count those. Or I may use up something else.

I'll probably update you on my progress when I have finished 5 things, hopefully that will be pretty soon!

Thanks for checking out this post. Hopefully more will be coming soon!

Love you guys! :o)

Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Nail Polish

The other day I was at CVS and I stumbled upon the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri nail polishes.

I have tried several Salley Hansen nail products over the years and they never seem to live up to their claims of being long lasting, chip free, quick drying, yada yada yada.

Since they were buy one get one 50% off (I would have prefered buy one get one free), I decided to go ahead and try them because I fell in love with #21 Uptempo Plum. I decided to get the #14 Flashy Fuchsia as well...you can never go wrong with a hot pink!

I was dying to try the Uptempo Plum, so as soon as I got home I took off my Metro Chic (Sephora by OPI) and re-painted my nails. My first impression was WOW!

Pros:
*Dries super fast (after all it is a fast dry nail color).
*One coat was plently ( I can only imagine how nice 2 will look!).
*While it is a glittery polish, it does not come off nearly as chunky looking as it does in the bottle.
*They are cheaper than OPI and China Glaze and if you can get them on a BOGO, even better. They were $4.99 at CVS, but I'm sure they are cheaper at Wal-Mart.
*They have a wide range of colors, and for the most part they are pretty unique.

Cons:
The brush is gigantic!!! Which I guess can also be a pro on larger nails such as the thumb...but on my tiny pinky it is tricky!

To top it off I used my Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Anti Chip clear coat. I have had that for about 2 months. It does dry them really fast...but the anti chip claim is a bit far fetched.

When I painted my nails I had low expectations about how long it would take before they chip. Normally I can get through about 2 days before the chipping starts. But in this case I knew I would be moving boxes at work, and fully expected them to be horribly chipped by the time I was done. For the most part they have very little chipping damage after moving what seemed to be a billion boxes.

When it is all said and done, so far I am quite impressed with this nail polish and I cannot wait to try Flashy Fuchsia (I will try to remember to post a pic once I use that one).

A side note on this...and don't quote me because I could be 100% wrong. Based on pictures I have seen and looking at the actual polish...Uptempo Plum looks like it could be a dupe for MAC's Baby Goth Girl.

Anyway...hope this wasn't too long and boring!!! :o)
